PROVIDES MONITORING DATA

Offers Condition Based Maintenance Opportunities

The IMCC provides various analog parameters recorded during each operation. This data can be downloaded through DNP3 or IEC61850 and used to perform in-depth analysis to determine the condition of the equipment. Advanced analysis can be performed taking into account variables such temperature of operation, humidity, torque and current, all as a function of time and position.

Gives Predictive Maintenance Abilities

Based on the condition of the equipment and how it evolves in time, it is possible to determine the optimal moment for performing maintenance before a failure occurs. Such predictive maintenance helps optimize the overall man-power cost over the lifetime of the equipment and prevent failures and downtime. Succeeding in preventing failures can help achieve an availability of operation rate of close to 100%.

Provides Asset Management Capabilities

The IMCC along with advanced analysis software provides multi-level data acquisition and comparison abilities to help utilities properly manage their assets. As a strategic point for acquiring data within the substation, the IMCC motor operator can provide multi-channel monitoring by being used for monitoring key data in the surrounding such as partial discharges coming from insulators, grounds or other pieces of equipment.

Multi-level data acquisition:

  • Equipment: Diagnostic, predictive and real-time monitoring, failure or preventive maintenance alarms, as well as evaluation of the general state of the disconnect switch, control optimization, data acquisition, scheduled batch data transfer, etc.
  • Substation: Data recording of technical issues, maintenance and repair of the equipment fleet in the substation in relation to model types, age, manufacturer, etc.
  • Area (contains many substations): Data recording of technical issues, maintenance, repairing of the equipment fleet in this area.

Based on sensitive results obtained from the multi-level & multi-channel data acquisition and analysis, utilities can identify most productive and reliable equipments in term of real lifetime cost, optimally plan and budget equipment replacement, and adequately organize maintenance schedule and man power.
